I would say depends on what your using for your creatures. wither it’s cardboard or plybored. you could use a steak and nail them too it or metal fence pole. or attach to a tree.
    good luck

Are you trying to make 3 dimensional creatures such as scarecrows or mummies? Try running several 1″ dowels up through the bodies and anchoring the other ends of the dowels in a bucket of sand or pounding them into the ground. If you are making 2 dimensional figures out of plywood or foam core board, duct tape the dowel to the back and anchor the same way as for the others.

Go to your local hardware store or home improvement (Lowe’s, Home Depot), or Wal Mart, to the section where they have garage sale and For Sale signs. They sell these metal stakes that have loops on them that will clamp onto the side of the sign, and you push the end into the ground. They hold up great in the wind, and you can reuse them over and over. I saw some cute cut-out tombstones and figures made from corrugated tin. The shapes were cut out, then painted. Probably cut with tin snips or a cut off blade on a grinder, but if you could use thick corrugated cardboard that is heavily sprayed with some type of sealant, and make something similar that would hold up to heavy dew, but probably not rain. Check out the DYI or Martha Stewart site – both have some cool craft ideas.
